Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
This policy explains what data RigCheckup does — and deliberately does not — handle when you use this site.
Your device data stays on your device
The hardware tests on this site (keyboard, mouse, microphone, webcam, speaker, monitor, gamepad) run entirely in your browser using standard web APIs. Microphone audio, camera video, key presses, and controller input are processed locally in your browser's memory and are never recorded to a server, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
Recordings and snapshots you create in the mic and webcam tests exist only on the page you're viewing and are discarded when you leave it. Access to your microphone or camera always requires your explicit permission through the browser, and you can revoke it at any time in your browser's site settings.
What we collect
RigCheckup has no user accounts and no forms that collect personal information. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data — such as IP address and browser type — to serve and secure the site, as any web host does.
Advertising and cookies
We plan to display advertising served by Google AdSense to keep this site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookie use at aboutads.info.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count page views in aggregate. This does not track you across sites and does not build a profile of you.
